I use it on hoodies, sweatshirts, sweatpants, & jersey blankets.  I do alot of layering on fleece because the thickness of the vinyl isn't as noticeable.

Probably want to get yourself some Tee Pad IT!s to be sure you can get a good press on it.

ok, until you get some t pad its (PM Lou aka Badalou the forum owner about the pads) if you need to get this done put a mouse pad between the fleece under the image you are going to transfer, that will raise your image away from the rest of the garment, reset your press so it closes correctly and then press, get a hold of Lou and get the t-pad its...
Hope this helps

Yes, go to heatpressessentials.com which is Lou's website.  There you will find great products to use for your business.  If you have any questions about these products, either ask Lou or ask us.  Alot of us here on the forum use them!

I know this thread is old but I have a customer who ordered this: http://www.ssactivewear.com/ShopNow/Item.aspx?ID=1327
I was wondering if lou's vinyl or thermo flex plus is a good vinyl for this. It looks like my question is answered about if I can heatpress it.

Thank you!

They both have good vinyl for this product.

Be prepared to cut one or more of the garments up and PRACTICE on it...... make notes as to mfg instructions vs reality with your press........ in most cases YOUR press determines the temp, pressure and dwell. The mfg instructions are based on top of the line calibrated equipment so your results will vary.

Vinyl is like anything else in this business, a matter of personal choice.

Thanks Ken. I figured either vinyl would work good. I have them both and love them both. I wish this garment was something cheaper but it is a 52 jacket so I don't want to pay that to cut up and practice on. Has anyone else ever done this type of jacket?

I figured that is what you meant. Smiley I will have to go and get one of my fleece and just mess with that. This jacket has the polaris h2xtreme fleece sell which is outside water protection so not sure if that will work the same as a reg. fleece

Now that you confirmed that the jacket has that particular sizing on it I doubt very seriously that you will have any luck pressing vinyl on it.

I just thought I would update on my post. I did call S&S and asked if I could use the heat press vinyl. They didn't get back to me till the next evening and I put the order in that morning due to the customer needing this job done asap. The lady that helped me had to get ahold of a different dept. and wait for their answer. When she called me back so read to me what was sent back. That it wouldn't work due to the ink not setting in. I told her that my vinyl doesn't use ink only screen printing or transfers did. She read me what she sent and it did state the heat press vinyl so I don't know.

I received the coat today. I thought I would try and see if the vinyl would stick so I did a small piece of thermoflex plus on the inside of the hem. I used the same color just incase. I am so excited it worked. Smiley The rest of the jacket has the mesh breathabilty shell on the inside, but that shouldn't make a difference on pressing the outside correct? The hem should be the same as the rest of the coat with the water protection you would think right?
