I am walking with a customer and member. We went through pretty fast yesterday. I am meeting with new vendors to carry my TSI. Working on his web this morning and will be at show about 11. Nothing stood out first day. I will go through a little slower today. I am sure I will find you Binki. I think Charles will be somewhere as well. Weather crappy.

Good seeing you at the show Lou. We finished up around 1pm and went over to the Irish pub for lunch. Have a living room full of stuff.

Gildan was giving away 4 packs of tshirts. We got a couple dozen.

A pic with Lou and my crew.

I was at the show Fri/Sat and did not see Lou,,,,but I really felt lousy ...came down with a cold ..walked a bit and sat a lot! First time I was at the show and didn't buy a thing. Did not see any break through new stuff. Show seemed well attended. None of the DTG guys wanted to talk about the DIS court ruling and their machine

Charles
I hope you are feeling better. Could you elaborate on your last statement about DIS (?) ruling and how it relates to DTG printers?
Thank you

dis has a patent ( i think they did a patent troll by buying a bankrupt company that had it) for the ink delivery system for dtg printers.

what i saw in dtg was an increase in the number of print heads to do the printing in fewer passes. neo has one coming later that will print a light garment in 2 passes. that is 2 passes of the head, 4 seconds to print.

Boomer....Direct Imaging System (DIS) had a patent on the way the patent  moves on a DTG printer. Probably around 2005. One of the first big names in DTG was T-jet from US Screen and Scott Fresner. DIS filed an infringement lawsuit..later US Screen filed bankruptcy but the law suit continued.  Finally a recent court ruling upheld the patent and awarded DIS around $3 million..
Since most of the DTG units use a moving platent this brings up a question of who will be sued next. One newcomer to DTG, The T-Printer from Tempe AZ has signed a licensing agreement with DIS.  A couple instances a t-jet owner had his listed for sale on eBay and DIS had eBay remove the listing.  So I was curious of how this would effect the DTG market

This is how I understood it..could be wrong
