I just love doing year end inventory.......NOT!!!!!!  I hate it with a passion!

Didn't used to be that bad when I was just strictly a screenprint shop....just count a few shirts, all my inks, and boom I was done....half day tops.

Now that I also have the hunting/fishing supplies IT IS A PAIN IN THE @#$@#$#@!!!!!

Thanks for letting me rant a little!  I feel better!

I'm glad you feel better!  Grin

I'm with you on inventory.  I work with ours on occasion and it gives me fits.  We have so much stuff in so many places that it gets quite interesting.

I'm now a little over halfway counting everything....but then I got to figure the pricing of it all!  Angry

It does help to have a price code marked on each item so I know how much I paid for it.  Pretty simple actually.

HONEST PLAY
123456  7890

Use the lettering with the corresponding numbers below for your price code.

an item you paid 12.50 for would have the code HOSY written in small letters on the price tag.  that way I can look right on the tag and know what I paid for it.  really helps this time of the year....or when someone is trying to haggle on the price!  Grin

This way I don't have to go back and look up the price I paid at the end of the year when doing inventory.... I already have it marked.

Craig, we're stealing your HONEST PLAY system.  But I'll give you karma for it.   Wink   Thank you.

I believe it was Sears that for many years used that code for pricing -- except the letters were IN MY POCKET, instead of honest play. Works great.

Thanks for the new idea.

Any combination of words will work as long as you don't repeat the same letter.

I used to work at a place that used this system....it's not my own idea...sorry shoulda clarified that when I posted.  Undecided

Hey, I was not throwing any stones. Just reminded me of my young years in the sales area and how we did the code then. I like yours better.

I like this. I'm taking your system too, if you don't mind and giving you Karma from me too.
