Has anyone tried metallic type plastisol ink on dark poly material. Bleed thru and other issues are of concern. The image is simple text.

The nice folks at Ryonet gave me some product ideas and tips but I would like other inputs as well.

This is basically a one time throw away use.

Water based ink any good??

I have only used it in water based,,  I have used blue metallic and gold and silver.
I put a white coat under them first
they worked well.

Thank you Sandy Jo.
I appreciate the input. Which ink brand did you use.

This imprinting will be on 100% poly ribbon emerald green with gold ink. I suspect you feel the white under base is needed to achieve proper opacity.

I did not have great results with ryonet white water based, could be my use,,

But i use permaset or speedball, waterbased,, i know alot of people do not like speedball, but is has worked like a charm for me in 110 screens with the metallic inks

the gold is very pretty, on gray it shows well, and pink
but on dark blue or emerald I would put a white base,, for sure.

I cure mine with a heat press
