Wondering if anyone knows of an automated process to do this function. What I am doing is taking text and using the envelope tool to wrap the text within a circle. Looks neat when its done but would like to know if there is a corel draw macro out there that will allow you to select the text and circle and automatically wrap it. I have several hundred of these designs todo and it would be nice to speed up the process. The video link shows what I am talking about. Mike www.precngraving.com/envelopetool.avi

Mike, I can't get the link to load. Can you load a pic of the final result? Circular text is something that my DAS system does well - but I don't know if that's what you're looking for?

Is this what you're looking to do? The last piece of this is to break the text apart which seperates it from the circle so that you can then delete the circle if you want.

Ok, here are some screen shot images form different sections of the process. Basically I would like to get a macro that would take the text I create (before or after the envelope effect) and wrap within the circle and weld to it, ending up with a finished ornament.

CorelDRAW does not support automated macro for editing the nodes of an envelop. I worked around to get somewhat the same effect using other methods and functions. Checkout this video: http://youtu.be/gpTUXcRgdec?hd=1

Just wondering though, is the 'Envelope Utility' window down in the lower left corner of the workspace a utility for Corel draw or what. I'm a bit confused on how you are just clicking on the text and getting it to fit into your object. Is the text also welding itself to the object at the same time or do you have to run that process yet. Mike

It is a macro utility plug in that I developed just like the FDO2P rhinestone utility. Yes all the objects are welded and combined after the "Execute" button is clicked. It is not part of any version of CorelDRAW. The functions and methods are macros built in CorelDRAW that I coded together for the Envelop Utility.
BTW if you want to see all my videos specially FDO2P in action type LNFORTUN as a keyword in YouTube search engine.
I have tutorial videos posted in YouTube. Most of my videos are high resolution so you can view them in full page mode.
Make sure the annotation is enabled. Otherwise you will not see the step by step captions. Turn the audio off if the background music bothers you.

Mike Louis is a long time contributor to the forum and is probably the most adept person that I have seen on here in Corel. Thanks Louis!!!!!

Well, I guess my next question would be is this macro available for purchasing. I use the envelope tool in Corel quite a bit and can see how this could save a lot of time. Mike
