I was just reading about this sign company that makes welcome home banners for families and friends of troops coming home and they give them away. free.....just pay shipping/handling.

Estimated total cost so far is $1.6 million (including shipping). Estimated income from shipping is $2.6 million.

Sounds like we all need in on this!  It reminds me of a friend who was trying to sell sample shirts he no longer needed on eBay.  Low price + shipping got no takers so he upped the price significantly but offered free shipping and they were sold in a heart beat.  He made more $ than he planned by doing this.

Many people are waking up to these ways we as business people try to sell more.  In my area they look on the net, find the product, and then figure everything included and then compare to my prices with sales tax added.  Most purchase off the internet because it's easier for them than driving all the way into town which for many of us is over 20 miles just to pick up an order.  By the time you figure in your gas price and sales tax it's cheaper to buy on the internet......esp. in the sporting goods side of things.

My answer is to sell niche stuff that can't be found elsewhere......I used to make good money on feebay with a niche t-shirt until they changed to where you have to list mulitiple items of the same type in only 1 listing...... Roll Eyes  Oh well.....feebay's loss more than mine as they don't get the extra listing fees....esp. since I all but quit after they done that!  Grin
