I'll try this again....tried posting early and it didn't seem to post? Undecided

For the new decorators that are getting started with heat press vinyl this job I just completed can be a learning experience for you.

I had 75 bags to print with the size of the print 2.5"x5".  Weeding was terrible but that is a different story.

I quickly realized this was not going to work very well on the 16x20 heat press so I used my hat press instead.  Still didn't want to work right so I cut a piece of mousepad to fit inside the pocket to help lift the bag to print easier.  Worked like a charm after that.

So:
1.  If you currently just own a regular heat press consider purchasing a hat press even though you may never use it for pressing caps.  I use mine all the time for prints other than hats.
2:  Keep extra mousepads around to cut to use as pillows under your work to help with printing...or purchase some of the pillows like Lou sells.
3:  Always think outside of the box when you come against a problem that seems impossible to get around.  There is always a fix with a little ingenuity and sometimes a lot of outside thinking to get the job done.

Hope this helps some of the new decorators out there.

I've actually been considering purchasing a hat press to press on shirt pockets.  I'd also like to try vinyl on hats since it could also be used on the visors.  Looks like a hat press in my future . . .

Good advice. I also use the hat press for short sleeve placement, and over-heart on polos.

BTW...nice job on those bags.

My favorite piece of advice is point #3.  Innovation and a willingness to try something that seems out there will often save the day.
