This may be a stupid question but I need to ask before I get started.  A friend ask me to embroidery on some shirts he need tomorrow. because of time  I suggested heat pres.
I have the WF1100 and I do have the paper for dark colors that I bought from PROWORLD (I think that was the company) can I heat press on Polo style shirts? I have only used regular plain cotton T-shirts in the past. I have done lots of white and only a couple of dark t-shirts.

Any recommendation would be great!!

Yes, just be sure to not get the buttons under the press.

I line them up with the buttons on the side of the press, usually the left side of the press as you are looking down at it.  Then prepress, press the design, and let cool.  Only part of the shirt loaded on the press is the left chest area, sleeve, part of the coller, etc.  The buttons hang off the side.

It's easier if you unfold the collar as well or you will press a creased in the collar.

I hope you understand what I'm saying as I don't always know how to best describe what it is I'm trying to say.

Good Luck!   Hope this helps.....
