Today I was going to buy me a new canon color laser printer from staples to use with the new CI Trim Free Laser Paper Proworld is now selling. But before I decide to borrow the money, I decided to call and ask about the recommended printers they suggest on there website.  I spoke with Linda and she told me that they also has ink jet transfer paper that is Trim Free as well called ClearSoft 401 and 402. I don't know if this is true but if it is I am in business and maybe I don't have to waste money on another printer.

My Workforce 1100 injet printer and my magic color laser printer is not working right now.

Bad batch of ink and workforce 1100 go through the motion of printing but nothing gets on the paper and my laser printer....when I was trying to print address labels for laser printer one of the labels peel off while coming through now it stuck to the rollller and it looks like it burn on there.

clearsoft has a less visible "box", but when i used it you could still see it there....

Sounds like your 1100 is either out of ink or has clogged heads

Uncle Remus,

I bought 3 sets of ink and neither one of them worked. I cleaned the heads, nozzle check and every check I can think of  more that three times and still doesn't print.

Remus,

That is correct. Sad won't do nothing but make all the printing noise.

Michelle,
This is from epson's website about the 1100 printing blank pages....hope this helps, let me know

Selected FAQ

Q:

What should I do if my printer is printing blank pages?
A:

Check the following:

    * Make sure the print head nozzles are not clogged.

    * In Windows, make sure EPSON WorkForce 1100 Series is selected as your printer. For Macintosh, make sure EPSON WorkForce 1100 or WorkForce 1100 is selected in the Page Setup and Print windows.

    * If you’re using Windows, activate the Skip Blank Page setting:

         1. Right-click the printer icon in the lower right corner of your screen (taskbar) and select Printer Settings. If you don’t see the icon, click here for instructions on making it appear.

         2. Click the Maintenance tab.

         3. Click the Speed & Progress button, then select Skip Blank Page.

    * Try printing a different document to determine if the problem is limited to one document. If it is, try recreating the document (with copy and paste, for example).

    * You may need to uninstall the software (Windows or Macintosh) and then reinstall it (Windows or Macintosh).

As I mentioned in my earlier PM, the printer sat around with ink in it and now all the nozzles are clogged.

Go to the Cobra ink site and contact Richard to order his chemical that will help you unplug the heads. Purchase empty #68 carts and fill them with the cleaning solution. The instructions are clear and you should have no trouble making the printer function normally.
Also change over to his HEAT TRANSFER ink and refillable carts.

When the ink starts to flow, print the attached JPG every day. This will keep the ink flowing.

Do NOT put the other ink and carts back in the printer.

Perhaps you might wait until you get ahead a little......... we can help you with printing for now. I'll put some suggestions together for printer maintenance and paper choice so you have that handled.

The Elasti-Jet paper I used on your design coupled with Cobra ink has been very successful and very durable.

I have the WF1100 and use the inks from Cobra.  You may already know this, but I downloaded a program "Harvey Head Cleaner", it is a maintenance program that runs a nozzle check everyday or whatever time frame you set it to.  It has really been a big help to me, because I don't use the printer everyday and it keeps the print heads from clogging.  It saves ink, because I don't have to continually wash the heads.

I hope this helps someone with this problem.

Thanks

Thanks for the tip Doris. Just purchased HHC and it works great.
