Yep, if you have a vinyl cutter and some coro you can sell outdoor decorations and make some bank.

Basically a sheet of coro costs $14 and a roll of vinyl costs $60. You can make outdoor decorations and sell for $35 each and get 8 more more decorations out it. That is $272 and you still have all that vinyl left. Not a bad profit.

Several ways I can think of.....razor blade, jig saw, bandsaw, scroll saw, etc.

buy it in an 8.4 sheet and cut in into rectangles with a utility knife.

if you want to do shapes, cut your vinyl, paste it and cut with the knife.

Sometimes making sales is about being in the "right place" at the "right time".....And Christmas is one of those times where it is easy to be in the "right place"....You just have to promote your offerings...So I thought I would start a list of Christmas gift ideas......

1 - Personalized street signs....
2 - Personalized caution signs.....
3 - Christmas greeting yard signs.....
4 - Christmas greeting banners.....
5 - Personalized monogram tiles.....
6 - Personalized Christmas ornament t-shirts....
7 - Personalized Christmas ornament sweat shirts....
8 - Personalized Christmas stockings...
9 - Personalized Street Sign wall art......

I will post more images as soon as I get a chance......

Do you add the lights, or leave that for the customers?  Do you design the signs, or are these things that folks walk in asking for? I remember a thread on here awhile back...lighted banners or lighted vinyl...seems like something like that or at least reflective vinyl would work with some designs.

I'd love to figure out a way to do something nativity-based, but I'm not coming up with anything -- yet.  There's the obvious - big coro sheet with nativity silhouette vinyl design.  But I know there's a way to do it better.

OH - check it out: HolidayCoro.com

I like that holidaycoro site....I really like the US flag & would like to make one, but man look at all them holes...lol

I was just checking out there site trying to figure out how they did this & in their FAQ's they said the machine they use to punch the holes cost as much as a car.....wonder what they are using? I dont know if you could do it by hand & if you could lord it would take a long time....

For "light holes", I read DIY sites that recommend using a drill and drilling the holes just slightly smaller than the lights you're going to use.

I'm thinking: design the vinyl decoration with the holes cut in the vinyl (rhinestone software?) - decorate the coro - the holes in the vinyl show you where to drill.
