I'm trying to print large sheets of material with the Epson 1400. I set up the paper as a user defined size of 1200 x 2500, which is 12" x 25". When the printer takes in the paper it continues to feed the entire sheet thru the printer without printing a thing. Got me confused.

Uncle,

According to the specs for the 1400, the max. user defined paper size is 13" x 44". I don't understand why you can't just enter standard sizes (13" x 25") into the user defined settings instead of these odd numbers...

Anyway, when I set up my 1100 for the same paper size it works fine, and it has the same paper size specs as the 1400.

Mike,

My bad  Embarrassed I didnt read your post correctly, i was in a rush when i seen it. Sometimes my 1400 will just feed unprinted sheets thru, I think it has something to do with it not feeding correctly or the vinyl or paper not being cut square, but i am not really sure & would like to know for sure what is happening, as it can get frustrating at times....

I didnt know that 44" was the max length, I seen somewhere where it was 19", so thats what i have been cutting my vinyl to, glad to know it's 44" now i can really pump out some stickers  Grin

I do know from experience that if the vinyl is not cut square on the ends, it will causes all kinds of feeding issues(sometimes kicking a blank page out) &  which causes the print to be slightly off, which then causes the contour cuts to be off....

I guess for now I'll use the WF1100 for the large sheets as It seems to work of(so far), and use the 1400 for other printing jobs. When I get time, I will take a look at the cut feed edges of my material as I know its not a perfect, square cut, although the material works fine in the 1100.  Maybe the 1400 is a bit more fussy.
