I just purchased one. I will be honest, I'm a newbie, I understand that you can buy its software, but I love photoshop... Is there anyway to use photoshop with the Cricut. If anyone knows or uses it please share everything you know about it. Much appreciated.

From what I can gather the only software that works with the machine is it's own. All others have dropped support.

Would have been great to be able to use PS.  I would love to have a desktop machine to use for small things.

Thanks for answering Smiley

Roger has an excellent cutter with a small footprint.

Best Blanks has gone to the trouble of creating a comparison chart for many presses.

Unless you are familiar with the workings of this equipment and can perform all the repairs, AVOID eBay and any other source where there is no warrantee. I assure you the money saved is not worth the aggravation when it comes time for service.

There are smaller cheaper ones but I assure you if things work out in your venture, you will outgrow the hobby version in a month.

You could offer a multitude of items to offset the costs of your services. I suggest that you get one of the inexpensive or free web sites to inform and sell. Then create business cards with the web address to introduce new clients.

I am so weird I have two cutters. Sometimes both are on line at the same time cutting vinyl for banners and the other making window stickies.

Roger has always been there to assist folks that didn't even buy the cutter from him!! I call that customer service way beyond the definition.

He has a software package called WINPC2010 that will do everything but the dishes. I am a member of his form for that software as well as lots of other members here.

As always, there are lots of folks willing to try and offer opinions and tips based on their experiences.

Ken,

You are so right. I looked into the Cricut a bit as well as a couple of other like machines.

I didn't want to part with the funds for a machine that I HOPE that I would outgrow for what I am *fingers crossed* hoping to do business wise. (a bit of a run on sentence, but you get the idea).

I have rather lofty dreams of working myself into retirement. I want my office to be in my basement so I can stop doing the mundane 8-5.
Then when we started our 501c3 this year...everything went haywire as far as business plans. So, now I'm trying to fund raise for cages, medications, and now to pay for surgery this coming week for one sweet girl.

Somehow my vision changed Smiley And now I just want to be able to keep living indoors..ha ha ha.. sorta.

I was toying with an Etsy storefront to get started...any feedback on Etsy? Anyone use it?

I use Esty, Artfire, Bonanza, Vindeo, Webstore, my own web site and eBay.

I do a weekly search for my whale teeth to determine which sites are hit. I also have Google analitics.

Bonanza, Vindeo, Webstore result in hits, Esty has had meager sales. My own site and eBay have sales.

Thank you SO much for the info. I'm about to get my feet wet and take the plunge here. I have an Esty store and Ebay account. I need to look into the others today.

Just got home from rescue rally and will get busy on the logo again in a bit.

Thanks so so so much!  I feel like I can do this and make it happen for our group.
