Hi all ! Hey, since I switched to a new blade I have had a lot of issues with vinyl not cutting properly. I have adjusted the depth. The last tee I made, I used a large font that should have easily plotted the letters. For the most part it did. The large font did allow me to see where the point of failure was.  Where there was a circle - such as a circle over an i or beneath an exclamation point the circle is not cutting completely. I have never had any luck using any type of off-set setting but I am wondering if this is part of the problem. Ideas? I was using Siser easy weed stretch.

What are you using as an offset now? and what degree blade?

On the cutter: speed = 20 , down force= 30. offset= 0, blade is the standard 45 degree ( the standard one used for regular apparel)

I just changed the offset from .25 when the results were that the material was bunching up - I also adjusted the pinch rollers in. I matched the down force setting with WinPC screen setting.

Set the Copam from it's front panel, set all settings in the software to zero.

I use:
Speed 30
Downforce 100 to 130 (For Sizer I use 120)
offset to .25
Blade exposed about usual business card for heat transfer vinyl
45 degree blade for heat transfer

Set the pinch rollers to no less than 3/8 from the outside of the vinyl. You wil have to adjust the start point under the rollers depending on the vinyl width. 15" is the first position wider than that requires and adjustment.

Perform the measuring function at the beginning of each new job.
Using the feed arrow controls, I roll out 1 to 2' for normal graphics and stickers.
With the feed arrows roll out at least 4 to 6' of vinyl to check tracking on banners or large prints.

create a test print in WPC of !TEST!! using a font like Helvetica at about 2" high. Cut it and weed it. Use that file to test each new vinyl job.

Remember to set the graphic width to MINUS 1.5 to 2 inches of the vinyl width.

Thank you! I have never used a down force over 40. But, that said - I have not yet matched these settings exactly with the offset and the software etc... I will try it and see what happens. As usual, many thanks.

I agree with ken, i set with winpc on my cutter panel not the winpc panel

the rotations if needed however are set in the winpc panel
