I just read that Alpha Purple Gold and JPSS papers
can not be contour cut on a vinyl cutter.
Is this true or false?  And are there other papers
that also can't be contour cut?

Thanks

There are plenty of papers that can be contour cut. I was hopeful to impress you with the list I compiled in the Spring.........unfortunately the file is gone.
I compiled the list by checking each paper supplier, including Joto etc and checking each to see if it could be contour cut. Remember that many papers are created by the same mill and have been renamed by the suppliers.

Elasti-jet claims to be cuttable. Cutting that paper causes the coating to flake off near the cut edge potentially ruining the imprint. Be very careful in that regard.

I have no problem cutting JPSS paper with my Graphtec. Took me a while to get the settings right, but it does work.

I stay back from the printed edge about 1/8" with the blade. Putting the design on lite colored shirts, you'll never see that small edge around the print.

Hi Mike,
Do you use a carrier sheet and
what settings do you use?

Has anyone ever cut pre printed JPSS that don't already have printed registration marks?

Sorry but the cut marks have to be on the graphic before sending the job to the cutter for contour cutting. Otherwise the cutter has no reference where to cut.

How about sending the pre printed image through the printer again and printing the reg marks?
