I've tried 3 time now to post these designs.  Maybe I'm not supposed to post them or something?  Huh Undecided

Anyway, the volleyball one was for a local christain school.  The rooster is for the softball team of the radio station I barter t-s for radio time with.  I showed the bigger halftone dots in the rooster but couldnt' get the real small dots to show with my camara.

Anyway, thought I'd share while I had a quiet moment before getting back to work.

Later!

Cool! When the time comes for me to attempt halftones, I'll definitely be seeking your advice, Craig. Good you're back at it.

Another cool thing I tried and it worked was on the rooster design, I left my flourescent lights on with just regular bulbs in them when I exposed my screens.  I could see much better and I didn't have any troubles exposing and washing out the halftones or regular 100% spot colors.  Makes it much easier to expose screens.

I use Chromablue emulsion so I don't know what other brands you can do this with.  I have a home built exposure unit, my vacuum hold down consist of a piece of 2" thick foam and milk jugs filled with water sitting on top of the foam.  I get perfect exposure on halftones in 10 seconds, 12 on regular spot color designs.  I'd show you my exposure unit but I made it last winter when it was 10 degrees in my knifemaking shop.  I threw it together in about 30 minutes.  There are no square corners and the bottom was just slapped on without trimming off the access lumber.  Needless to say it's UUUUGGGGGLLLLLYYY!!!! So, you don't get to see it.  Grin  But it does prove that you can do good halftone designs with a minimum of equipment.
