Really interested in that stuff.  Do you cut it with your cutter?  Just apply it and mask?

it is really simple. it cuts on the plotter just like adhesive vinyl or heat press vinyl. it is really tender and tears easy, so weeding is not hard, but not a breeze either. but the detail is way better than you can achieve with sticker vinyl. it is basically emulsion on a backing material that you apply to the screen with solvent. ulano's website is very informative. cheers!

This Sta Sharp product is preferred, instead of using heat transfer vinyl??
I'll seek a distributor for the product from their web site.
I am purchasing the Silver press with the upgrade kit to 4 color and I want to get started with the best methods for small runs. I am leaning to the standard Plastisol ink for ease of use.

Thanks.

I feel the price for the dual desktop is hard to resist (no pun) and the extra two frame holders are worth the small extra price.

Plastisol seems to be the ink for a beginner due to the ease of use as compared to the water based ink and reasonably easy method of drying the ink??

I thought about getting a few square tube adjustable tension frames, a durometer and some screen mesh blanks designed for them. If my theory holds, I could use the S3S to make a print, clean it completely, take it off the frame, secure a new one on the frame and store the first on some flat dust free surface to be used again later. If someone could confirm this theory I can proceed.

I am playing with the rhinestone pattern creation as well. Now if I was only rich...........  Cheesy

i think you will have trouble with the s3s coming loose from the mesh when you try to re stretch it.

OKAY, thank you very much for resolving that question!!!!

I can go to plan "B" and just get a pile of wood frame screens and create the stock graphics then save a couple of more for client requests. It looks like the S3S will come off the screen fairly easily.

yes, for plastisol ink, you will want the solvent proof film, it is water soluble. i am using the s3s water proof film.

I was watching a clip on youtube, and i saw a simple way on how to print on circular objects, a candle to be exact.
The guy just pushed some ink over the stencil, then turned the screen upside down and rolled the candle over the stencil.Came out OK.
