Im looking for any general rules for changing time versus temp versus pressure on a Mug Press.

What are the tell tale signs for when you should change one of these settings, and in which direction?

For example - a part of the test print posted by Ken there is small white text on a black background in the middle of the mug. On 2 mugs, same image, same settings, one came out with the text white and the other with it grey. I'm thinking that this might be because of small variations in mug diameter and sides that are not straight - so increasing the pressure would help, or would it only help 1 of the mugs?

If the mug starts on fire, it is too hot, turn down the temp.

for variances in sizes we measure each mug and put like sizes together. the cheaper mugs will have these variances. the made in the usa mugs are a little better but cost a buck more each.

to help with variances, we use a mug wrap that we cut the ends off and that helps to get a more even press. we do this with those silly beer steins.
