I purchased Badger - Mini Mesh Reversible Tank - 8539 from S & S. They are 100% polyester. I called up Heat Transfer Warehouse in Fargo where I get my heat press vinyl. I was going to get thermoflex plus but the sales guy recommended the HTW sports vinyl for it, so being new I ordered it. My main question right now is placement on the tank jersey and how do I press reversible jerseys being there are 2 layers of the mesh. I only want it on one. Do I put a teflon sheet between them? The tank neck hangs lower then a t-shirt so I am not sure how far down would I go on the front? What number size is a good size for this when they have their name and number on them? I am getting ready to cut them and want to make sure I do them right. I have only done t-shirts and this seems way different.

Thanks!

I wanted to update this. I am not sure if anyone just has done these since there wasn't any replies. The sports vinyl I did get worked good. It is really think but once it is pressed on it isn't so bad. Heavier then Thermoflex but worked great. About placement. I found when putting the name on the back you have to go below the front neck line or it doesn't get the same look. Meaning the rest of the vinyl gets a bit faded due to the holes in the jersey. If you don't go as low as the front on the back then it stays more white and not in the holes as well due to not as much fabric is under it. I hope that makes sense. I also put a teflon sheet inbetween the first layer. that worked great for it not going threw to the second layer. I also learned that you take the teflon sheet out before you remove the sheet off the vinyl or the vinyl could stick to each other while taking out the teflon sheet. Learned my lesson after having this happen.

Does anyone have on hand a: Badger - Mini Mesh Reversible Tank - 8539

Navy xl?
I really don't want to pay $12.33 in shipping/cc charge for just one 6.20 jersey. Someone ordered the wrong size and I would really hate to have them pay more for just one.

Thank you!

if they ordered the wrong size then charge them for the shipping charge.

as for sizing, on basketball jerseys we normally do 8 or 10 inch numbers and 1.5 or 2 inch letters for adult sizes and 6 to 8 inch numbers and 1 inch names on youth.

we normally take a number like 88 and look at where it would fit on the shirt and then use that as our rule for the others. normally the name goes down 3" from the neckline and the number 2" below that but you could add an inch or two on basketball jerseys.

on the front we normally go down 3" for the number but again, on tanks going down 5" is more the norm.

another rule you can use is to put the top of the number just above the bottom of the arm hole.

as for thermoflex, that is ok for uniforms. i haven't used the other material mentioned.

for mesh you can put something inside while pressing but it isn't a big deal.

i dont know why anyone would get a reversable if they only wanted numbers on one side.

Thanks bikini. I wasn't to far off then. I did do the names 2 inches or smaller depending on the length of the name. I guess I didn't do the numbers big enough I did them at 6 inches but spaced them 3" from the name but they look good. My main problem was since on the tanks they hang down so low in the front I wasn't to sure where to place them but tried one on and did 2 3/4 in front and the back I just found the front of the collar and went right below it so the vinyl was all the same color. I suppose they got the reversable due to them being the type they wanted and only had them in reversable for the price with the companies I go threw.
