I have a friend who wants to do something special for her husband. She decided she wants me to make a t-shirt and put her husband dad picture on his shirt, ok no problem but he wears a 4X how will the picture look on a 4X shirt?
Paper is only 8 1/2 x11
Will the picture be to small for a 4X t-shirt?

Do you ubderstand what I trying to get at?
Picture will be frmed in but I only can stretch picture so much.

I would think on a 4x t-shirt that an 8 1/2 x 11 graphic would be too small.

One option might be to do an Andy Warhol sort of thing and do four pictures with different color washes or something.

Another option would be to try and buy a bigger transfer from somewhere.  I'm not sure what sort of process you're using,  but I know there are places that print and sell transfers.

EnMartin,

I have a 15X15 heatpress and a Epson workforce1100 printer.

She printed out the picture for me. I was going to scan to my computer. Adjust to full paper size print it out on transfer JPSS paper for lights. The picture is in black and white.

Your printer will print up to 13 x 19" paper.
Buy a package of 11 x 17" paper from whatever imprinting supplier is
closest to you.

I did a 6x one time. With 8 x 10. But it also had wording inder the pic which I did with separate transfer so when combined it looked bigger. I mean for a picture an 8 x 10 is good. So does your friend want any words as well.

Honestly with the wording going down the side seperate from the pic it will make it bigger and make it look just fine IMHO.

Or get the bigger paper to print on like Ken said.

Either way will work just fine.

I always buy 11x17.  You can make the paper smaller but not bigger.  I do a lot of work for 3 and 4x sized people.  I always use about an 11x15 or so for the bigger sizes.  A also charge more for the larger sizes making up for the extra paper.
Perhaps someone on this board lives in your vicinity and can lend you a sheet of 11x17.  I think this will solve your delema and you will be satisfied with the outcome.

I don't think anyone lives near me on this board.
But, If so... I live South Suburb Dolton, IL 20 minutes south of Chicago, IL

If you have 11X 17 paper I can use let me know. Smiley
