I won some software from coastal & it says it works with corel draw 8 ( i think) I see coral x4 out there, but no 8, is this an older coral version or what & if i get x4 will these templates that i won work with it?

That version is going back to the windows 95/98 era. The X4 templates will not work with version 8.

I have Corel Draw X5 and it will save and load version 8 files.

Ok thanks....I currently have no corel software, but thinking of buying X4 & i was going to sell the software templates that i won, but if they will work in X4 then i will just hold on to them...

I don't know if you shop much on Ebay, but you can pick up X5 pretty reasonable there. I have purchased the last 3 versions of Corel Draw from ebay and saved quite a bit of money vs. buying local, and these are all legal licensed versions which I do have registered with Corel.

Corel X4 is really Corel 14...so corel 8 is 6 versions back...

Can't answer since I have not used inkscape.. X4 is so-so if not too complex
