Description via manufacturer:

Highly efficient stencil making system that eliminates the need for a film positive, emulsion, capillary film, exposure and drying time.

Link to web site:

http://www.rhinotechinc.com/screenprinting/stencil.htm

Preliminary testing yields excellent results with my OKI C6150 laser printer. A two step process easily mastered, saves money in chemicals and time.

Simple graphic creation:
Area to receive ink should be outputted as BLACK and printed on the IMAGE page. (MAXIMUM GRAPHIC SIZE USING THE 8.5 X 11' PAPER IS 10.5 X 8")

Image page is married to transfer page as per directions, pealed hot. resultant is heat pressed to a clean degreased screen per directions.

If that all sounds like the directions for NENNAH Image Clip......... it most likely is the same paper. Rhino specifies an alliance with Nennah.

All I care is that there is no vellum, no darkroom, no emulsion, no worries about exposure and it will pressure wash off my screen when the time comes.

Here is the print on a red Tee created using Ryonet white ink.

Interesting. Can you use solvent based inks with it?

Info provided by the mfg does not specify the type of ink commonly suggested. I tested it with standard plastisol because that is all I use.
I suspect a message to Rhino would yield specific data.

Nice.  My only problems are the size of output is not enough for what I usually do.

What about halftones?  That would be the cats meow if it can do halftones, and in bigger sizes say 13x19!!!!!!

Keep us informed!  And thanks!

Nice....I think I saw something similar not too long ago, but I'm sure it was not this product.

I'm gonna check out the link you gave. Im wondering if it works with an inkjet printer, and if you want a larger size is there any reason you couldn't split your design onto 2 sheets.

Sorry, I left out the sizes available. This product comes in 11 x 17" and 13 x 19 packs and rolls. I do not see why it would not work with halftones. It would print what is on the screen.

Craig.... send me a simple half tone image you have already printed and I'll make one up so we can compare quality.

This particular product is only usable in a laser printer. I will check on another two step imprinting paper usable in an ink jet.

RhinoTech is just down the street (so to speak) form me. Actually about 10 miles. I've been meaning to contact them for a sample but not sure I have the correct type of laser printer. Keep the reports coming, though, please. They were in Orlando last week but I didn't get by their booth. Darn it.

Any printer that will work with Nennah Image Clip should work with this paper.
Call Rhino to confirm.

I have two major Art Shows this weekend and I am trying to prep for them. When I am finished I will attack this paper and check out all the options.

The product works as advertised. A small learning curve is needed, but once mastered, lots of time and money can be saved.

I have NOT tested the printing beyond a short run of 50 shirts. I will create screens of my Tombstone shirts and run them in my next batch.

Whatever happens after 50 prints, I am satisfied with the fact I can create a quickie screen with an image nearly 8 x 11, 11 x 17  or 13 x 19 with good detail and without the need of a darkroom and emulsion for $2.00 to $4.00 per print.

The amount of toner laid down is important, as in the creation of any velum was. The image has to be as black as your printer can make it to create crisp edges and fine detail.

Follow up..............300+ prints, no issues.
I am using the 11" x 17 size.

Craig, It will not work with true halftone images. 99% of my work is 100 straight color, no half tones. I'll just use vellum if I ever need to print halftone images.
