Good Afternoon All,

I have been looking at the HPN 15" x 15" Swing Away High
Pressure Heat Press Machine but went online to find more information regarding the manufacturer and any reviews on it's use but did not find much.

Is this a "private label" offshoot of a name brand manufacturer and does anyone like it's performance?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

I don't use an HPN.  Does this stand for Heat Press Nation?  And aren't they a sponsor here?

Isn't that the brand our fearless leader Lou sells?  I've only heard great things about the stuff he sells.  So if it is the brand he sells it must be good stuff!

When you buy a  300.00 press you get a 300.00 press.....Most seem to work okay but if you read through this forum and other forums from time to time you will see that some of them burn up, do not heat consistently and/or have other problems...They do come with a 1 year warranty but shipping to and from the repair location is not covered...IMO they are not worth the risk.....But seeing as it is your money you may have a different opinion....

Thanks for your thoughts.

I did see the great package deal there but before taking the leap I wanted to get user reviews but so far, I have not been able to find any.

The price is very affordable but I'm looking to get some real-time feedback on it's performance.

When purchasing any piece of equipment, regardless of the price, it is important to deal with a well established company who offers the customer service and support if there is a problem.
We sell the TransPro, which is an imported heat press, and very occasionally there is a minor problem that needs attention. Our policy is to replace any parts that we feel might solve the problem. If that does not resolve the problem, and is within the first three months of purchase, we will replace the machine and pay all shipping costs.
This replacement policy is unlike virtually any other supplier of heat presses, imported or domestic, who will not assume this cost.

Thank you for your reply Ed.

I will take a look at that product as well.

I will start from the beginning again and look at other factors like return policies, warranties, overall customer service, etc.

This may give me a clearer picture when it's decision time.

Yes, I do sell HPN. Here is what you need to know. I flew to HPN and examined the product. I wanted to make sure that it not only met my standards but that of my customers as well. This is an import but, there is always a but.. it is made by suppliers specs. They wanted to compete with the big boys and I was impressed. If I was not then I would not sell them. Our prices are the same but I do offer discount with some of my packages. After years of sending customers to other suppliers I felt I had lost out on sales. A side note I was contacted by one of the big players this week to sell their presses as well. Higher prices but I am considering both lines. As Ed said it is one thing to buy a product but it is another to buy from someone you trust and stands behind what they sell. The last thing I want is a customer calling me  and yelling at me. I can't take the stress. LOL Lou

Thank you for your reply Lou.

I have followed your comments on other boards as well as watched many of your instructional videos so I definitely believe you are a trusted source in this industry. I can't speak for everybody but whatever decision I make, I take responsibility for it....good or bad.

That's why I try to do the due diligence and get reviews an perspectives from as many sources possible and make the best informed decision I can.

No matter who I go with, you will definitely be getting my business for your heat press accessories. I believe it will help me tremendously.

Hi guys, I purchased Lou's 16x20 press to do larger composition sublimation tiles.  I love it! The bottom table is easy to loosen to accomadate really thick items...the heat is is evenly distributed
across the upper platen for perfect designs...My experience with
this press has been flawless. I had purchased Lou's cap press and it works perfectly and is just what I needed...so, I purchased  the mug press...I absolutely love this mug press and would not even consisder paying thru the nose to have a 'different name' on it. It has been excellent for me. Also, I do have a $300.00 heat press that I purchased from Ed at Proworld over three years ago...a sunie..I have used the dickens out of it...still works great. Don't want to lead anyone astray...this is my experience...and I am totally satisfied with the hpn brand. Good luck with your purchases!

Your are so welcome Mike...There are so many choices and different price ranges...It can be scary with all the lousy presses on the market. I am thoroughly enjoying using my presses...but, my most favorite thing about HPN is the friendly tech support. They will walk you thru any questions...It means alot to me to have human beings on the phone if you have questions. HPN is a nice alternative for entry level people like myself who can purchase great equipment at amazing prices. Let me know if I can help in any way. Thanks!

Just remember guys I am a HPN dealer. I work very closely with them to make sure they stand behind all products I sell for them. I talked to the owner today for helping out Anne with a situation and praised him and it is for that reason I sell their products. All though we sell at same prices I offer packages to go along with them. Lou

What kind of support?.....I am not understanding what kinds of things you would need support for.....As far as standing behind their products....Do you mean they will look after you beyond the 1 year warranty?....

Warranties are warranties and covers manufacture problems. But what if you don't understand how to use your press. I could easily say read the instructions. But maybe you want something more. You need someone who understands your needs for more personal help. It is nice to know your talking to someone who understands your needs. If something is not working right you want to be sure that it gets fixed in a timely manner. Sometimes it not just about the equipment but about having someone after the sale. Do you think you get that from buying a  used Press of craigs list or a unit off eBay. You may. Or you may not. I have gotten calls early n the morning and late at night because someone needed a question answered. Even though it interrupted my favorite TV show or woke me at 6 AM. Yes they did. Lou
