The eBooks that I have seen were pdf docs. Is that what you are trying to use?

http://www.google.com/search?q=how+to+create+ebooks&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a

gives a lot of sites. Don't any of these work?

I created a how-to-handbook demostrating how to make the things I created. I am selling it on ebay but it's not going to well. So I was wondering if I can turn into ebook and they can download the book and print it up themselves. Right now I have to print the book and mail it to them after they pay me through paypal when they won the bidding on ebay. Ebay bidding is not giving me enough sales. Plus I have to pay fees to them and paypal. I don't know about PDF to much. But I quess it's time for me to learn.

I would think if you're selling the book,  Amazon might be a better site than eBay.  I'm guessing the best would be having your own site.

to create a PDF document you will need a good PDF program...Adobe sort of owns the market with their product...but I would do a google search for PDF creator and see if there is not a less expensive one out there

There is a program called PDF995 that allows you to take, say, a document created in Word and make it into a PDF document.  We use it here on occasion.  I'm not sure how well it would work for a graphic heavy document,  but it seems to work well on documents that are mostly print.

Cool Cool I would only like to add that whatever program you use for commercial purposes, independent of any specific product be sure to read the license agreement. Some versions of the same software that you use for personal use have a disclaimer that it is not authorized for commercial use. Many companies have versions they sell for commercial use that are exactly the same thing but the purchase price is higher due to the use of their product for commercial gain by another. Much like pre paid royalties.

You may not agree with it but it is a fact of life and if you are selling on the web I would highly recommend that you follow the rules, the end result if you do not is not something that I would like to encounter.

I would check to see if you can sell a down-loadable ebook on ebay first before you go through the trouble.  If I recall correctly they stopped letting people sell down-loadable products a while back.  I believe you at least have to ship the item in a CD format.
