I attempted to place a large order last night. I don't have a tax id yet
so....it didn't fly. Had to buy conde's paper this time. I am just learning and trying to find my niche before getting tax id. Hopefully, I will soon be
able to  begin using impres.

The Tax ID only applies to the Iris thread.  We have an agreement with our thread supplier that requires that we only sell to commercial embroiderers.  Everything else on the site is free game though, so if you're interested in paper or other supplies,  you're certainly welcome to make a purchase.

Anne,  there is a code that's good all the time on another thread.  I'll have to bump it so it's near the top again. 

You can purchase our sublimation and other embroidery supplies without a tax i.d. number.  The tax i.d. qualification is strictly a requirement we worked out with our thread manufacturer.
