Hi I'm new here just found you and glad to be here. I have a cricut and just bought a heat press and want to start making shirts for my nieces and nephews. Was wandering what is the best HTV to buy for me to start making shirts ? Also I did not get a teflon sheet with my press do I need one of them ? Thanks in advance for your help.

I Karen,
I know Roger at heatpressvinyl, cuts his vinyl down to the sizes for smaller machines I think he goes all the way down to 8 inch,,

Roger weed all the way. Can be used on most materials and I use it on a Robo with no problems.

One additional suggestion - you can buy Rogers vinyl and cut it down as needed. Then you get the value of the additional width.

There is not a day that goes by that i dont get compliments on the white Rogers weed, at the t-shirt shop,,

white print on Black tees is huge up here

I would definately get a teflon sheet. It will protect your heat platen, and the garment. And if you're a crafter, you'll find yourself using it for appliques, and other things.

Actually, I would get 2 of them....cut the second one into smaller sizes for smaller designs. One large one will work for everything, but it's just nice to have those smaller sizes too.

I prefer the thicker sheet, but if you're going to order 2, I would suggest you order one of each thickness. They are very inexpensive, and will last a long time.

Hi dechez,,,,

Missed you,,   and i agree i would get 2 sheets and then the stick it,, sheet for the bottom plate,,

a large one to attach to the top of the plate,,

and one to cut up,, lile dechez said,, i have those for left chest, hats,, ect

I need vinyl for my truck window.
 If I email layout can some do it for me. I'll take picture of the truck so you can get a understanding what and where I want. I can't do t-shirts right now because I don't have a job but I am doing something that doesn't cost me anything out of my pocket right at least.
