Okay,
Here's one for you r-wear users.  When I layout in r-wear, say a 2x4 rectangle, when it cuts it cuts twice the size.  the software says 2"x4" on the monitor yet it cuts 4"x8".  Any suggestions?
I've tried the Roland forum, not one answer.  I called tech support, didn't know.  I've reinstalled it several times with no success.
   Ever happen to anyone else?
Thanks, Frank94510

do you cut anything else with this cutter?

I'm using r-wear with the Roland 300 engraver.  I use Dr. Engrave for engraving with no problems (same computer, same engraver).
The engraved holes i.e. the whole image engraves 2x as big as the original.
Got me stumped as well as Roland.

Can you cut anything succesfully with this cutter? paper, vinyl and have it be the right size?

We have to work with the cutter or software first,, and I think lets make sure the cutter works well,,,   it could be
the mother board,,,,,cinch rollers or feed rollers,,

Please cut something anything a circle even that you know the size,,  I also make sure in the software,, if cutting from Rwear that you have inches,, selected,,,

It's not a cutter, it's an engraver.  EGX300.  I've done a bunch of plastec name plates, brass etc. and using dr. Engrave have had no problems.  the only problem is with R-wear.
I've used r-wear on another computer with no problems.  I'll bring my laptop from home and try that.  I feel it has to be in the software since that is the only time it whacks out.
Thanks for the advice though.

Sorry I missed that you were using the engraver for the template as well,,,

 to cut the templates..

I dont think I will be much help,,

I dont know if anyone has a engraver any more,, here,,

if so I hope they speak up .

That's interesting.  What program are you using for your cutting that would accept r-wear?
Thanks, Frank

Frank....Sandy Jo may do what I do...I sometimes will use R-wear to make a font or some other design...and when done, I cut and paste into Corel...then if your engraver will support cutting from Corel that might work...I know that with my vinyl cutter I can do it this way

BTW...doesn't your engraver run on dr. engrave??? maybe it will paste into that

That sounds like another option.  Right now I'm waiting for the cable to come in and we're gonna try to get the cutter and Winpc talk to each other.  I didn't think there would be such a language barrier. :-)
Hopefully it will be in this week sometime.  Then I'll use my cutter.
