Thanks for the input. I didn't realize they were that close to me but then again it would only take 2 business days to get here. I lived by st. louis for a few months. I really liked it.

Here is a question I have been fighting myself with. I am having a hard time deciding between the 16 x 20 and the 15 x 15. I currently have a 15 x 15 and have never pressed anything that big as of yet. I was thinking just for the extra space to work with so the t-shirt lays more on the press. Has anyone pressed anything bigger then the 15 x 15 to justify the price difference?

Thanks you guys are awesome!

oh yes,,

check out pro world and the stock tranfsers,, you can get 17 inch awesome transfers, that do not fit on a 15x15,,, you can still do it with Lous big pad, but if you  , think you will do any thing over a xlarge shirt also,,  it is great to get that whole shirt on the press,,,

Big shirts mean big Designs,,, as well,,

I will be getting a larger one,,,

Great thanks for the input MMM I will be doing shirts that are 2 xl or more for my dad's business but didn't know I would be putting graphics much bigger then the 12" or so on it? I was measuring all the coats tha we have stuff on and they aren't bigger then 12" on them so I wasn't sure. If I am going to buy one I might as well by right the first time around..haha

I also agree with the sentiment that you should get the most your budget can afford. The big pad is essential by the way (I have two) but I sure do wish I had a 16x20 press. My 15x15 is quite serviceable for right now but I can see down the road growing into a larger press.

I do have to say I agree with you..lol

Being new to this still I guess I didn't know that you would really use the 16 x 20 size very often. I will have to find out where everyone gets their transfers from as MMM stated there are some nice ones that are 17". I have seen some people mention on here that they heat press tile and plates. What type of vinyl would they use or is that sublimanation?

The transfers you might purchase already to press from say ProWorld are made from plastisol ink. I believe these inks are similar to screen printing inks. The advantage to them (beside being already designed and ready to go of course) is that you need not cut them down as you would when using heat transfer paper.

Tiles & plates would be sublimation. Ken and Charles can answer a lot of these questions.

Great thanks.I will have to check out proworld and see what they have. I usually only make shirts to order and they are from High School girls for sports and their parents.
