Do anyone know if I can use my cricut expression cutting  machine to cut out vinyl to go on my car window for advertising my busienss? what about vinyl for t-shirts

Yes you can,, but you have to use their cartridges of art if i am correct,, but I think there is a software now that lets you go beyound that ,, i ran across lately, but did not book mark it,,,

does any one know what I am talking about,, ? that can help,,,

But I think you can run vinyl sheets thru your machine.

The software that lets you be free of cartridges --- is Sure Cuts A Lot (SCAL). It lets you use any "SVG" file on your computer and any True Type fonts from your computer. You can import all these files from someplace else to your computer if you do not have them. You will need to have a cartridge inserted in the Expression, but that cartridge will not actually be used.

Great breakthrough from all the cartridges. Google Sure Cuts A Lot and you will get more information.

Just as an update to this (I just saw this post), my inlaws bought one of the Cricut Cake machines and was doing some research for them.

I've been playing with the Make the Cut software demo the last couple days.  It is pretty awesome.  Very intuitive, as you see the Cricut Mat on the screen, and can tell what you are cutting.  Using the 12x24" mat you can make good size cuts. Definitely will be buying it.  It also has a simple rhinestone setting tool to create template designs.

I also last night tried to use sign vinyl without the mat.  Worked great.  I have a small CraftRobo and the rollers looked the same, so I thought I'd try the cricut sans mat.

Of course make sure the settings are okay so you don't cut through the backer and hurt the cut strip.  I don't know if that is replaceable on the cricut, unlike the craftrobo.
I cut Oracal 631 in a 13" piece and fit exactly in the machine.

You should be able to use Robo master pro as well.....
