What is the best paper and ink to heat press on dark color shirts?

I'd also like to hear what it is for light color shirts as well.

I'm probably going to be using a printing company at first to print off my designs, and then I'll press them.

Just need to know what I should be looking for before searching for the right printing company.

Get a 16x20 press if you can afford it, swinger type, auto open.

Hotronix is pretty good.

Are you familar with transfers on dark colors?

I agree Ace or Transfer Express for screened transfers.  If you are going to make your own Inkjet transfers, I would go with Jet Pro SofStretch for lights and Jet Opaque for darks.

This a question that has been a sore spot for many of us. The reason is unlike transfers for whites and light which offer so many nice papers when it comes to darks you are going to use an opaque transfer or a plastisol transfer depending on the number of shirts you do. Opaque transfer can be a little stiff. That is with an inkjet printer type. laser transfers offer you a nice option but you do need a laser printer. Neenah papers from several of our sponsors offers types. Plastisol transfer made for you and there were several recommendations here will screen print your transfers for you. But.. you need to think quantity and number of colors you are doing. Hope that helps.. but if not we are still here to help. Lou

I'm looking to do 100 of each design at first, and about 8 different designs.
So I really need a quality transfer, but good for quantity.
