I use Cobra Ink. It works great. You should be able to google them. Richard is good to work with. Also I think Roger (HeatPressVinyl) is a reseller for Cobra.

Cobra inks...

Pigment or Hi Temp

Anyone recommend which on is the best to use with JPSS transfer paper. I'm looking at getting the WF1100 system from Cobra Inks, just not sure which would work the best.

You will most likely end up with both high temp ink and pigment systems, like the rest of us , start with whatever you will use the most first.

High Temp ink is  recommeded for hard surfaces,

Pigment ink is for Transfers like Jpss and normal printing.

I would advise the refilllable carts or tanks, which bring your cost of ink way down.

Cobra Pigment ink and refillable carts have worked very well for me in applying heat transfer using Conde ELASTI-JET paper or similar.

I have several WF1100 printers, all have refillable carts, all filled with Cobra ink.
The refillable carts for this printer also fit the WF30, WF40, C-120 and some of the newer Epson printers.

Any Epson printer that uses #68 or #69 carts cross reference to the WF1100. Cobras web site will help you calculate what cart fits your printer.

I have both a 1400 & 1100 running Cobra inks. The 1400 is running pigment inks (with refillable carts) & i use it for normal printing & mainly for outdoor stickers...The 1100 i got from Cobra with the CIS system installed with high temp ink....

Other then having to run a daily purge i have had no problems with either, if you dont run them daily especially the pigment ink, the high temp ink can go several days you will have clogging issues, but that is with any brand pigment ink....

Well I just took the plunge and purchased the 1100 pigment system from Cobra Inks. I've been printing stickers with the 1400 using the claire inks but the colors fade after a few months being outdoors even though they are laminated, so hopefully these pigment inks will hold up better.

Remus,

Just curious, are you laminating your stickers using the pigment ink or not. I also make prints on my roland sp300 with laminate and they have lasted several years outside with no fading.

I use Oracal 215 laminate and it is applied with a commercial laminator.

I have been using mactac vinyl & mactac laminate, i get both from h&h sign supply, it's already cut down to 12"....I dont have any long term data, but i have one sticker on the sign outside my shop that has been there for 2 months exposed to 110 degree heat & it has showed no signs of fading, even the reds look just like they did when i printed them....Mactac claims to be good for 2-3 years

Also i am using a 24" hand crank manual laminator to apply the lamanite

Hmmmmm.......

When I get the 1100 printer I'll have to see how the pigment inks work on the same vinyl I use in the roland 600 machine.

...speaking of stickers...(full color).
What is the most economical way to make bumper stickers with Ink jet.
Also have a laser...
Customer possibly wants larger than 4"x 10.5. Unless that is usual size.
What is customary size for bumper sticker?

Is it more economical to make sticker for car window?

Leo, I have around $500 in my setup, not including my cutter....epson 1400 with refillable carts of cobra pigment ink & 24" manual laminator.

I make my bumper stickers either 3"x10" or some 4"x10"

With my setup the stickers will not last outdoors as long, as they would if printed with an eco-sol setup, but then i didnt pay $10,000 for mine either & if mine lasts a few years i am happy....

I don't have a lamination machine or the material. I need to check into alternate possibilities.

Currently I use the MATES sublimatable sheets from Conde. No fading & reasonable profit margin.
