Since i think this is my first post i'd like to say hello to everyone and I hope I will continue to learn a lot from you guys since i'm new in the business.

I've just bought a Roland Stika SV-15 cutter and have a digital heat press. I intent to do vinyl and ink transfers but there is one HUGE proble - i don`t have the graphics I need.

I need graphics like this

in eps of course. I saw a cd on ebay once, didnt`t buy it and am regretting it for a long time now.

Any kind of help is welcome,

Greetings from souther Europe,
Dean

Ps one more question: is it okay to use a normal inkjet printer (and if yes which one) to do image transfers?

hate to say this but you are flirting with big time danger...each of the logos, while changed a bit, are readily recognizable...and thus in my opinion is blatant infringement...I would suggest you talk to an IP attorney before using any of those for commercial use

I agree whole heartedly with Charles in the USA that would bring multiple law suits, don't know the copyright laws in your country but here that is an absolute No No.

Welcome to the ADF forum SMOLE.

That is exactly you don't see them on eBay or anyplace else, Trade mark and copyright infringement lawsuits have become the new vogue.

First of all thank you all for the replies. As far as copyright infringement i believe it is ok, since other shops do it here as well for a long time now, so no worries there.

Again, if anyone knows where i can find those vectors i will be eternally grateful.

I use an Epson C88+ with a CIS system. JPSS paper works great for white cotton or cotton/poly. As far as artwork, there is tons to buy. Just search the internet for vector art or whatever. We are always looking for a good buy. Can never have enough artwork!

Smole...I don't care who does what...but if you do use them you are stealing the work of others...I for one do not appreciate that type of activity.. If you keep your work clean/legal..welcome here and enjoy the help offered and maybe you can help us with what you do....JMHO

I also come from a Southern European country, and maybe the copyright laws are not as strict as in the USA, but they are there.
Some people have been sued both crimminaly, and civily, and they always lost. Its just not worth the hassle. JMO.

This looks like a wreck just waiting to happen. The way that these things go, those that assist in the infringement can also be lible. Just stay above board, don't follow what others do or you may fall along with them.  Sad

There is a huge market for all kinds of illegal things here where I live, that doesn't mean I am going to become a criminal just to participate. Personally I would rather have longevity for my business not get rich quick and go to Jail. Just my opinion.

This won't solve the current request but IMHO it is one of the best sources for legal (copyright free) and diversified images on the web.

Free samples abound and their CD's are extremely reasonable in price. 9,000 titles means the likely hood of a successful search is quite high.

Thanks a lot guy but i have a few more questions:

1. Since both of the recommended Epson printers aren't available in my country what general characteristics should i be looking for (high resolution, special inks)
2. Must the printer be Epson? what about HP?
3. Does it have to be ink jet or color laser is just as good?
4. on what vinyl is this printed http://www.etsy.com/listing/50166564/homer-simpson-iphone-skin-sticker-decal and what equipment do i need to make those king of decals, the same question stands for laptop decals

Thanks,
Dean

Dude you have to understand that there is no one on this forum going to help you steal copyrighted material. You I and the whole world know that Homer Simpson is copyrighted the world over. Repeatedly asking is not going to change the fact that we don't steal copyrighted material. As for printers HP uses Dye based Inks and is believed to not be very good for transfers. However there are some here that have good success with them. The reason for Epson's is they use pigmented inks which work great for transfers. It really sounds to me like you need to slow down just a little, Study the industry and the business just a little more to find your direction. If stealing other peoples work is your forte please leave us out of it. Hope this helps.

You misunderstood me, i was asking about the technology, not the copywrited material, I understood that part a few days ago no worries there, i don't plan on stealing anything.
