Those of  you who use WB Inks  (MMM) when you do multi colors do you cure the 1st color then print the second, or do you do "wet-wet"? Also what WB inks do you use? Thinking of trying something different to get a softer hand.

Okay, just thought of another question? Have any of youthat use WB ink overprinted with plastisol ink? Inquiring minds are curious.

Thank you, that' will help. How do you keep your 1st screen from drying out when you print the 2nd color if you are doing 10 at a time and are you just letting them air dry and then heat press when you are done with them all?

I think they do wet on wet when they use WB inks, as it would be quite difficult to register if done one colour at a time
However since I,ve never done it I,m curious to know how they don,t smudge the colours while doing it.

All this screening- talk is cool.  I know NOTHING about this process, so "listening" to you is a lot like listening to a foreign language.  Sounds exotic!

Sorry, I don't screen wb inks yet.  Just plastisol.  Did order some white matsui ink last week to try out though..... Roll Eyes

So, I can't tell you about printing wb, but I can tell you about printing multi colors with plastisol ink.

As long as you are not putting a color on top of another ie. a top color on a white underbase, you can print wet on wet.  As long as your screen don't get out of register you will be hitting the same areas with the ink and not mess up the design.  I hope you understand what I'm trying to say... Undecided I can't hardly put into words sometimes what I mean.  There will be a ghost image on the underneath side of the next screen where the wet ink will stick a little bit on the shirt side of the screen when printing the next color, but unless you are running several dozen shirts it isn't a problem and if it is you simply wipe the bottom of the screen clean with a dry rag.

I wouldn't see any reason why you couldn't print wet on wet with wb inks, again unless you are printing on top of an underbase.

Good luck!  I'm sure someone who prints multi color wb inks will get on here shortly to better answer you questions.

anyone who screens,, do tape washers to the bottom of your screen to keep it slightly off the garment,,,
I saw Ryan on a video do that,, so the screen does the work when we pull our ink,, ?
