Hi group
Getting ready to order my transfer paper from Proworld today and I want to make sure I’m getting the right kind for darks.
Is #795 the one I should use for my inkjet WF1100 ? I have the 901 in my shopping cart already.
Has anyone tried their mouse pads? I want to try and press some of those as well.

If I print on dark, I use Image Clip Laser Dark or Pro World 430 paper.

The standard mouse pad has a thin layer of poly fabric glued to the top of it. The DIFFERENCE is in the glue, thickness and quality of the rubber.

Some pads delaminate, some are very thin and cheap appearing. I buy only the 7 x 9 x 1/4" for my customers. The thin ones are good for give away with your logo on them.

Pro Worlds pads are good quality as are Coastals and Best Blanks. There are others as well. In any case, always buy from a NATIONAL supplier. Buying on the cheap is asking for trouble.

I need to order both kids of paper and I want the Tsquare thing plus mouse pads and Teflon sheet. Looking for a site where I can get all those items at one time.
I haven't been on Costals site just yet.

Oop's I need to read better. Lou's tpadits are not mouse pads for printing on they are to use in helping press in different situations.

I'm looking for paper for darks also--sports team shirts.  A little skiddish after bad experience with recent paper for lights.  Not only did it crack, but the red ink ran/faded as well when washed.  I will be printing on black shirts this time.  Info, please! Embarrassed

Red: Mousepads--I have used Coastals, both 1/4" and 1/8" and both do very well.  I agree, I use 1/4" for my customers and 1/8" for samples and/or give-aways.

Ok just received my paper for lights today. Got the JPSS from Proworld.
I actually got a few request from family members for Nana shirts. will the ink cartridges that came with my WF1100 be ok to do shirts with? Even though they are family I don't want them to fade.
The t-shirts from Michaels are 100% cotton but I read the 50/50 are better? PLEASE explain. I got the 3D dark the other day and did some samples for my sister and I THANKS BILL for all your help! Haven't put them in the was yet.

The ink is pigment and that is what you want to use. So you are OK... Keep in mind any ink over a period will fade. Screen printing ink does not so much. But the JPSS is very good at hold on to the color. The 100% cotton is fine. Use it most of the time. Lou

Thanks Lou! I feel a litter better now. I was really nervous about this whole heat press process, but I think the help that I have received here so far I will be ok! Smiley

OK, I have a question on the mouse pads. I see on some of the supplier websites that the mouse pads say they are for sublimation. Can you still use another form of transfer to apply to these pads?

Thanks for the info.

As far as I know... all mousepads have a poly material on the surface. That makes them perfect for the vivid imprint of dye sublimation.
You can also use JPSS paper...or probably any of the other transfer papers for white/light shirts... however for me these leave a slicker/plastic-y finish. To be expected as you're trapping the ink with the polymer coating. Different 'mice' react differently on the 2 types. There's the optical mice and the roller ball.
Experiment... you'll get a usable mousepad- then see which you prefer. If you don't like the product... and if you're not set up for dye sub... you can always get someone to print the dye sub transfers for you.

I have used jpss paper with coastal mouse pads a lot. It works well due to the 'stretchy' part of the paper type. If that makes sense..
