This is an apology about Choice award and Honored member award
When I started TBIZ101forum, as this forum was called in the beginning,  it was because I thought the industry could use another forum that was more of an educational structure then the others. It started out that way but we did not get the support of the sponsors I tried to get on board who I would call the "faculty" These faculty members knew more about their product and I wanted them to come in and educate and to help us and teach us in the industry about their products and give more support, to help make our jobs easier. Needless to say I failed in that aspect of this forum.
But my friends I was able to attract members that knew many of the answers that those that came here were seeking. They pushed this forum in a positive direction and are helping it grow. And we are growing. Many don't know about us still but they will come on board at sometime and I know those that are here will help in their quest to find answers, seek product knowledge, and learn about the apparel decorating business from our most faithful of members. Our name change a few months after we started became Apparel Decorators Forum, a name I felt really described what we do here. As I stated above many have help push this forum in the positive direction it is going. OK, here is the apology. Over the last few weeks I have asked for nominations for our award of choice and honored member award. The nominations were, sadly nil. So that made what I was going to do really, really hard. Most were the same companies. So a poll of one was not really a poll.  However the nominations for the most "Honored Member" was a little different to a point. I had a feeling it would come out the way it did.  Their was one name that stood out over the rest over and over again., no not me.. I was out of this race..  I really gave this some thought.. Actually it caused me some sleepless night. All though this one person stands out from the rest, that person is joined by a few others that I know "She" would agree make this forum what it is. So the poll for award of choice is not going to happen at this point or we will construct it differently at a latter date.
However the honored member ward I believe and I think many of you would agree actually goes to several members. So I am making the honored member into "Honored Members." There is no prize other then a thank you  for making this place what it is and for being here to asset those that seek your knowledge. You have my respect and I am sure all of our members. I could have made this list longer as there are many , many more who I owe my gratitude. So the "Honored  Members" are. boom boom. a little drum roll..

These 6  really standout and I am so honored to have them part of this forum. Lou Robin, Admin.

As one of the newer members of this forum, I could not agree more on your choices. I have picked up so much knowledge from the members on your award list and appreciate all the more.

I thank you one and all a thousand times over. We never are able to acknowledge and thank those that help us on our path the way they deserve.

Thank you for an award to help recognize those that help shine the light on our path.

Lou and all my fellow forum members,

I am truly grateful to be considered an Honored Member, especially with the other names on that page. I am certainly in good company.

We do have the best forum on the net and all of us do our best to make it that way. My hat is off to all of you.

May God Bless America and keep her strong. Happy Independence Day.

Maddening Isn't It?

About a year ago I think it was, I was interested in finding out if this would be a business that I would want to be in as oppossed to working public works. My son is a motocross racer and I could see a good potential business selling shirts to other MX families. In my research I happened upon a video of how to heatpress a transfer to a shirt. It was a video by a man named Lou Robin, we all know him as ADMIN BADALOU. At the bottom of his video he listed a website called Apparel Decorators Forum. I came and signed up and started asking my dumb questions as all of us newbies think we are doing. I found some nice folks named Masterkoin, Binki, Monkeymeme, Heatpressvinyl, Cochise, Charles95405, Chozmikk, Viper97, AdminBadalou and many more that happily answered those questions and guided me on my way. They informed me that there are no dumb questions, just the ones that aren't asked. Over the time that I have been on here I have found that not only do we help each other and genuinely care what happens to each others businesses, we have created an extended family of friends who diligently work to help each other in our quest to support our own families. As for my name being on this list, I am Honored, but I haven't done anything but taken way more knowledge than I could ever give back. I learn from this group every day and I am humbled to be a part of this great group of people. The world could learn lessons that are taught here. I say all of this for one reason, There is a name missing from this group and we were not allowed to nominate this person. Though he has put countless hrs into building this site, countless conversations into getting discounts for us and gives us the forum to start with. There should be one Name at the top of the list and 1000 and some others underneath. That name and I thank you, is Lou Robin, our Admin Badalou! Thanks Lou and everyone here for what you do!

Great choices, each has helped me since I have been here. I came here an experienced signmaker, but a complete newbie on the apparel printing side & have gained much knowledge from this forum. I would like to personally thank fivestar as he is the one who sent me over to you from another forum we was both on, without him I would have never found this great place with all the super nice members....So thanks to everyone for all the knowledge you have shared with me.

An Apology???  I have never seen so much as a hint of a reason for an apology on this forum.  To see experts act with such humility - wow.  I appreciate the ongoing hard work, dedication, advice, humor, HONESTY, and hand-holding provided by Lou, the folks listed, and each member who makes an effort to contribute.  From a one-gal shop who depends on you guys for oh-so-many-things:  Thank you.

The apology was because I changed what I was going to do meaning the Choice award. Just could not generate enough nominations and you can't have a poll if only one company or product was named. So that part of what I was going to do went away. Maybe when we get more "Active Members" who contribute more. Membership is building so we will see. Lou

I think that's a great list and right on the money.

This forum has been nothing but welcoming and supportive to me,  and supportive of the company I represent.  I firmly believe that I'm here to contribute first and talk about the business for which I work second,  but some forums treat suppliers as though they want to do nothing but sell, sell, sell.  This forum has been a great experience for me,  and I hope I've been able to give back a little of the support and help I've been given.

Enmartin,,
YOu have shared amazing info with us all,, thank you

See the thing here is sometimes when you have knowledge of a product you sell or a friend sells, or uses,, and it works and is great,,
It should not be a bad thing to share it,, with others that are struggling ,
The more you are on a forum the more poeple you start to know,,
so pretty soon if you are not allowed to share what you know,, You are restricted from sharing 90 % of the information that you could have,,because it involves a friend

Well now that is a great way to shut someone up,, the more you know the less you can share,,,,,,
That just does not seem right, to me,
That leaves the conversation open to those that have not expierenced the product , and usually the thread is brought up because someone is having problems,,,, well that is not how lou runs this show...

He lets us talk things out,, tested and tried,, and work on it together,,
and that is how we grow.
And learn from each other,,and with each other,, some friends and some soon to be friends,,
It is so sad when you sit on information and cannot share,, you know some one is struggling and haveing a bad day  trying to figure something out, that you can help with, but because it is part of your business you cannot speak up, and help.. that is sad.
Here we have
No drama,, No vanity, No harrasing, No bullying, everyone is Adults here and respects each others opinons, good and bad.

We all have different walks of life , we all have different religions, and politics,, but what we share here ,, Is Treat others as you want to be Treated.

Thank you for sharing with us,
