Old thread, but sure wish I had read this an hour ago as I just ordered JPSS to use on lightweight natural colored totes for a possible vendor thing I'm doing in a month. Got it from Coastal where they have it at $39 for 50 sheets of 11x17 if you are a member of that other forum. I did say I was also a member on this forum. Am I going to be disappointed that I didn't spend the extra $$$$ to get the 401 from ProWorld?

I am standing right now in coastal business booth. I have never had a fading issue with jpss contact Vanessa here as she works for Neenah that makes the paper. If you have issues. Lou

My issue is not with it fading so much as the comments that on natural canvas that the border turns darker than the color of the canvas and is noticeable.  Thank you, Lou for answering right away. How is the show going?

Yeah, I thought about that. Or maybe doing a fade on the edges and cutting just inside that.

Boomer, i just extend my color a lil over the area i want to stop printing and then cut right on it,,, otherwise there is no way around that yellowish line that turns that color with heat,,,, and really shows up on white or tan

My apologies to Vanessa and the rest. I thought I settled this post, obviously not.

The moral of the story, don't buy large quantity of ink if you are not a big shop and don't believe the expiration date on it.

THE INK HAD TURNED BAD AND WAS REPLACED BY THE SUPPLIER. MANY SUBSEQUENT WASH TESTS WITH ALMOST EVERY PAPER MARKETED YIELDED SATISFACTORY RESULTS.

Thank you, Ken. I could have started a new thread but the info I was interested in was here. I'll see what happens when I get my paper next week. I'm using Topper Canvas bags #800

I have personal preferences because I do a lot of totes and ash shirts.

I like the Hyatt brand paper marketed under many names, Pro Worlds leading seller.

The new best friend is from Joto. http://jotopaper.com/catalog/trimfree.pdf

It is used with a laser printer. They will send samples and provide tech support..

Oh Yes guys, cheap fabric like a Tee from Wall Mart sometimes will not be satisfactory at all. A customer of mine brought one over the other day and the shirt dye was so bad that the image mixed with the shirt dye and we both said "WHAT THE HECK!". We then put a Hanes down and the image was perfect. So, watch out for cheapies.
