MonkeyMeMe,

What type of cutter you suggest for me to buy? Be gentle with the price?

Hello,
Found this site for cutter. More of a scrapbooking cutter but it cut vinyl too. but i notice several members into other money making hobbies. This might do me some good because i make invitations anyway as a side paying hobby. tell me what you think. I value everyones opinion.
Check site out for me. Tell me what you think of machine.

For that much money you could get a real cutter.  Might want to read a bit on USCutter's forums because there are many former Cricut people there.  Even if I was going to consider something like it, I wouldn't get one unless it did at least 15" width and really prefer 24" to help with flexibility of doing sign/banner stuff too.  Being able to cut 20" heat press vinyl saves me a lot of money over 12" or even 15" vinyl.

From what I have read the cricut is strictly a hobby cutter. If I were going to buy small I would look at the Craft Robo from Graphtec. This is the small one that I bought. Now please understand that I bought this one to carry with me in a trailer. I will be getting a Graphtec ce5000-60 machine which is the same as MasterKoin very shortly for our shop. The Robo does all of the same things as the bigger machines just on a smaller scale. If you are serious about the Apparel and sign business you will need a bigger machine. The US Cutters seam to have a pretty good reputation on here for inexpensive cutters. Hope this helps. Check with Roger (heatpressvinyl) he has some pretty good deals on cutters also.

Hi MMM many thanks for your demonstration, very impressed with your designs.
One question I have is would the craft robo be capable to cutting something  similar to your type of design without all those fine lines.
And what is the mesh size that you used for your design.

The Robo cuts exactly like it's larger counterparts. But remember it only takes material 9" wide and only cut's about 7.5" or 8" wide. It will cut up to 39" long. As for the graphic MMM posted it would probably cut it just fine but It is much to large a format for the machine I would say.

Hi Michelle
Mk and Mx are pretty spot on here. For that price consider exploring the what they suggest. The difference will I am sure be having a cutter that will hold up over time and not be as frustrating AFTER the learning curve. These guys will not steer you wrong.

Thanks MX for your advise, I was thinking that I might be able to do some corner floral designs on a mirror to etch. I think it might be doable if the cutter could cut that small.

ur so welcome sandy1 lol i needed a hug today. lol

it's a nice product to have and i know ur gonna do fantastic with it.
i love it and recommend it to anyone that would be considering purchasing it.
no i don't work for them either but i'm like u, when i see or know of a good product, and know what it does, i will rally all around it. \

screenprint supplies has been wonderful to me. although i use the yudu they still have taken the time to help me learn a lot. i have spoken with vinson and john. those guys are the best. i just wish they sold the permaset aqua inks. i like the supplier i have but he only sells ink. and sometimes i need other supplies which makes me have to do multilple orders from vendors vs getting everything i need from one place.
